Sanya Malhotra STALKED Nawazuddin Siddiqui before ‘Photograph’ shoot

Actress Sanya Malhotra made her Bollywood debut in the year 2016 with Nitesh Tiwari’s biographical sports drama ‘Dangal’, in which she portrayed wrestler Babita Kumari. Later, she went on to do ‘Patakha‘ and ‘Badhaai Ho’. The actress has won millions of hearts on the basis of her versatile acting. And now, Sanya is gearing up for the release of ‘Photograph’. Helmed by Ritesh Batra, ‘Photograph’ also has Nawazuddin Siddiqui in lead. Sanya has become a star now and millions follow her and stalk her on social media. Once Sanya herself stalked someone and he is none other than our beloved actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Sanya Malhotra revealed quite a few things about her feelings on being a star, her character in the film ‘Photograph’, her experience on working with Nawazuddin Siddiqui and much more.

On being asked about her experience working with Nawazuddin and Ritesh Batra, Sanya said, “I had a really good experience working with Ritesh Batra and Nawaz sir. It was a huge thing for me to work with an actor like him and it was nerve wracking for me. I thought this is just my second film and I was in doubt whether I will be able to do acting or not. On first day of shoot, whether I will be able to deliver a dialogue or not.”     

“Initially, I was a bit nervous working with him because he is very good actor. So I stalked him, I watched all his interviews to know how he prepares for his roles so that I could chill out working alongside,” she added.

It is to be noted that ‘Photograph’ revolves around a struggling street photographer, pressured to marry by his grandmother. He convinces a shy stranger to pose as his fiancee. The pair develop a connection that transforms them.

The film was also premiered at Sundance Film Festival 2019 and at the 69th Berlin International Film Festival. Interestingly, ‘Photograph’ was initially Sanya’s second film but ‘Pataakha’ got released after ‘Dangal’. The Sanya Malhotra and Nawazuddin starrer will hit the theatres on 15th March, 2019.
