After Tanushree Dutta and Nana Patekar’s controversy resurfaced, the actress was supported by a few celebs whereas there were some who stood by Nana. Interestingly, there were also a few stars who categorically refrained from making any comments on the whole issue.
At the trailer launch of ‘Thugs of Hindostan’, Amitabh Bachchan was questioned by the media regarding his views on the Tanushree-Nana row. However, the veteran actor refused to do so by saying that neither is he Tanushree, nor is he Nana to give any opinion on the issue. Soon after his comments, Big B was trolled for keeping mum on a grave subject like this.

Yesterday, on the occasion of his birthday, Bachchan Sr. shared an interview wherein he gave answers on various questions and one of them was on the #MeToo movement. Commenting on sexual harassment at workplace, Big B said in the interview, “No woman should ever be subjected to any kind of misbehaviour, or disorderly conduct; especially at her workplace. Such acts should immediately be brought to the notice of concerned authorities, and corrective measures be taken, either through filing complaints or a recourse to law. Discipline and civic, social and moral curriculums, should be adopted at a very early educational level.”
Now, lashing out at Bachchan’s comment on the #MeToo movement, celebrity hairstylist Sapna Bhavnani took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and wrote, “This has to be the biggest lie ever. Sir the film Pink has released and gone and your image of being an activist will soon too. Your truth will come out very soon. Hope you are biting your hands cuz nails will not be enough. @SrBachchan #Metoo #MeTooIndia #comeoutwomen”

Earlier, Tanushree too had expressed her disappointment over evasive comments as she told Hindustan Times, “I’m hurt, as these are people who do movies on social causes. They play roles in films and the audience applauds. But when it comes to standing up and doing something about what is happening in front of you, there are these evasive statements that don’t make sense.”
