Sara Ali Khan reveals Saif Ali Khan, Amrita Singh’s reaction to her performance in Atrangi Re

Sara Ali Khan, Dhanush and Akshay Kumar starrer Atrangi Re hit the screens on December 24 on Disney+ Hotstar. Directed by Aanand L Rai, the movie has got mixed reactions from critics and audiences. In an interview, Sara revealed her parents Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s reaction to her performance in the film.

In an interview with India Today, Sara replied to the question as who is her harshest critic between her parents. She said, “Atrangi Re is not a good film to ask this question because they have both been very nice. I think mom is very emotional and will always be. And, my father is a very strong and sophisticated gentleman. But I do know that I have made both mom and dad cry. It is weird to feel that sense of accomplishment that your parents are proud of you.”

On Ibrahim, Sara said, “He is saying that he is proud of me or that’s my sister, my and he is telling this to others too. So, I feel very happy”.

Sara played Rinku in the film and she suffers mental health problems since childhood.

Bollywood Bubble review of the film read: Atrangi Re in the literal sense means being different, being unique, being yourself! When I first heard the title, I wondered what is this unique director Aanand L Rai is talking about in the movie. Never had I thought what it meant when I watched the movie. Even as it became predictable after a certain twist, the ocean of emotions portrayed kept the boat sailing with a few high tides which did not disrupt the sail.
