Here’s what made Sara Ali Khan scream at mother Amrita Singh during Zara Hatke Zara Bachke shoot

The bond between Sara Ali Khan and her mother Amrita Singh is more like best friends. The two are travel buddies, they play pranks on each other and even share everything with one another. But it also means they get upset with each other, and it’s not just the mother being upset with her daughter. It’s the other way round as well.

On Monday, Sara Ali Khan launched the trailer of her upcoming film Zara Hatke Zara Bachke with Vicky Kaushal. The trailer is being loved by all and it shows Vicky’s character as a stingy person. During the trailer launch event, when asked if Sara is like that in real life, Vicky butted in saying yes.

The actor even gave an example of Sara being stingy and how it made the actress scream at her mother. Vicky shared, “Ye sach me hai. Hum Indore mein shoot kar rahe the film aur Amrita ma’am aayi hui thi saath mein. Literally maine dekha hai ek din ye apni maa ko daant rahi thi. (She is really stingy. We were shooting in Indore for the film and Amrita Singh ma’am had also accompanied her there. One day, I literally saw Sara yelling at her).”

Sharing details of the incident, Vicky revealed, “Maine kaha kya hua, but fir mujhe laga kuch personal sa hoga, beech mein nahi padta hun, theek hai. Fir maine pucha ki kya ho gaya. (I thought that it must be something personal so I shouldn’t intrude. Then later I asked her what happened).”

Vicky then revealed the hilarious reply Sara gave him. “‘Meri maa na 1600 ki tauliya layi hai.’ Uspe daant rahi hai ye, apni maa ko kyunki 1600 ki tauliya leke aayi hain wo. (She said, ‘My mother has brought a towel worth Rs 1600.’ She was screaming at her because she brought a towel of Rs 1600).”

Sara defends her take

Defending herself, Sara quickly jumped in the conversation. She said, “Tauliya kaun khareedta hai Rs 1600 ka? Itne ache nirmata, itna acha hotel, wahin se tauliya le lete hum. Yehi bill bhar dete. (Who buys a towel for Rs 1600? We had such a nice producer, such a nice hotel, we could have taken a towel from there. They would have paid the bill for that).” The actress sure does have an amazing sense of humour.

Sara really has a thrifty taste and it got revealed last year too during her appearance on Koffee With Karan. But who doesn’t like savings? And that is what makes her relatable to the audiences. Meanwhile, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke releases on June 2, 2023 theatrically. It is produced by Dinesh Vijan and directed by Laxman Utekar.
