Actress Sara Ali Khan stepped into Bollywood with the tragic romantic drama Kedarnath co-starring the Late Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead. Sara Ali Khan in tears remembering Sushant Singh Rajput
During a recent interaction with Mid-day, actress Sara Ali Khan was asked about her favourite memory of her first co-star, late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Getting emotional as she remembered the ‘Chhichhore’ actor, Sara revealed, “There are so many (favourite memories).” Recalling one of these many memories, the ‘Murder Mubarak’ actress said, “There was one moment where Gattu sir (Kedarnath director Abhishek Kapoor) was rushing. He and Sushant had worked together before so I just went to Sushant and I was like, ‘I don’t know how to do this, there’s one, this, this line, just show me.’ And he just showed me.”
The ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’ star continued, “And I just went and copied him. Being able to speak Hindi the way I do, is something that people appreciate about me quite often whether it’s being as curious as I think I am, so much of it is Sushant. Any love I’ve gotten for Kedarnath, and it’s a lot, it’s just all him. I can’t give you a memory.”
Sara remembers SSR on his death anniversary
Sushant Singh Rajput died untimely on June 14 2020. On the ‘Sonchiriya’ actor’s death anniversary this year, Sara took to social media and shared an unseen picture with him. The actress captioned the picture with several emojis, inclduing folded hands, a planet, a telescope, a camera, the mountains and stars, and more. She added the song ‘Namo Namo’ to the story.
On Sushant Singh Rajput’s death anniversary in 2023, Sara Ali Khan shared a post of them on their way to shoot her debut film in Kedarnath. She captioned their post, “On our way to Kedarnath for the first time. On my way to shoot for the first time. And I know neither are ever going to feel the same again. But somewhere between action, cut, sunrise, rivers, clouds, moonlight, Kedarnath and Allah Hoo, I know you’re there. Keep shining amongst your stars From Kedarnath to Andromeda”
