Sara Ali Khan heavily slammed for imitating Priyanka’s character from ‘Barfi’

Sara Ali Khan is currently in the news and is going through a purple patch of sorts! The daughter of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh is currently basking in the glory of ‘Simmba‘. The Rohit Shetty directorial has done astounding business at the box office. The film sees Ranveer Singh playing the character of a cop and after a long time, he can be seen in his elements.

Recently, the cast of ‘Simmba’ i.e. Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan and Rohit Shetty appeared on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’. In a video, which has surfaced on Instagram, Sara can be seen imitating Priyanka Chopra’s character from ‘Barfi’.

Netizens didn’t like Sara’s gesture and gave her their piece of mind. There is a fine line between humour and being indecent and doing vulgar mimicry. Priyanka had portrayed the role of a girl in Anurag Basu’s ‘Barfi’, who suffers from autism. ‘Barfi’ dealt with a very sensitive topic with utmost care and featured Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role.

Hopefully, Sara Ali Khan has learned a lesson here. But, in Sara’s defense, it could not have been malicious and just an attempt to be funny. In the age of social media and internet, celebrities have to be extra careful in how they conduct themselves in the public domain.
