Satish Kaushik complained of breathlessness hours before his death, reveals actor’s manager

Bollywood actor Satish Kaushik is no more. Satish Kaushik bid goodbye to the world on Thursday, March 9. The actor passed away due to heart attack. Several celebrities including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, and Anupam Kher among others offered condolences to his family. Satish’s funeral will take place at 5 pm. Ahead of that, Satish Kaushik’s manager revealed details about the last moments of the late actor.

Satish complained of breathlessness

According to Hindustan Times, Satish’s manager, Santosh Rai told the media, “I had brought him to the hospital. He slept at 10.30 pm and called me at 12.10 am, complaining of breathlessness.”

Satish Kaushik was one of the most loved actors in Bollywood. Apart from acting, Satish also directed films. Over the years, Satish appeared in films like Mr India, Prem, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Dishoom, and Ram Lakhan among others.

Anupam Kher remembers the late actor

After the news of his death, Anupam Kher, Javed Akhtar, and Ashok Pandit among others arrived at his house for last respects. During an interaction with the media, Anupam said, “Aise koi medical shikayat nahi thi Satish Kaushik ji ko (He had no medical complaints) I don’t think there’s anything. It’s just that it had to happen and unfortunately it happened.”

Anupam added, “And we all came from middle class, lower middle class families and apne balbute pe yaha apna naam kamaya, mehnat pe apna naam kamaya, film abhi complete ki Kaagaz 2, dusri film banane ki soch rahe the saath mein and naatak karne ki soch rahe the mere saath. Unhone kaha yaar do logon ka natak karte hai, young logon ka natak karte hai and that’s it (We earned a name here, on our own, earned a name by our hard work, we completed shooting for Kaagaz 2. We were thinking of making another film together and were thinking of doing a play on young people)”

Satish’s last post on Instagram

A few days ago, Satish was spotted in the city. He had attended Javed Akhtar’s Holi party. Satish had shared a bunch of photos from the Holi bash on his Instagram. The photos showed him posing with Ali Fazal, Richa Chadha, Javed Akhtar, and Mahima Chaudhry. He had captioned the pics saying, “Colourful Happy Fun Holi party at Janki Kutir Juhu by @jadaukhtar @babaazmi @azmishabana18 @tanviazmofficial… met the newly wed beautiful couple @alifazal9 @therichachadha @mahimachaudhry1 wishing Happy Holi to everyone #friendship #festival #colours.”

Satish is now survived by his wife Shashi and daughter Vanshika.
