‘Satish Kaushik ko koi medical shikayat nahi thi,’ says Anupam Kher as he arrives at his house for last rites

Satish Kaushik passed away in the wee hours of Thursday, on March 9. Satish Kaushik suffered a heart attack. Following the news of his death, Anupam Kher, who shared a great camaraderie with Satish, was spotted at his house for his last rites. During his interaction with the media, Anupam recalled fond memories about the late actor.

Anupam Kher remembers Satish Kaushik

Anupam remembered his good friend and said, “Aise koi medical shikayat nahi thi Satish Kaushik ji ko (He had no medical complaints) I don’t think there’s anything. It’s just that it had to happen and unfortunately it happened.”

Anupam added, “And we all came from middle class, lower middle class families and apne balbute pe yaha apna naam kamaya, mehnat pe apna naam kamaya, film abhi complete ki Kaagaz 2, dusri film banane ki soch rahe the saath mein and naatak karne ki soch rahe the mere saath. Unhone kaha yaar do logon ka natak karte hai, young logon ka natak karte hai and that’s it (We earned a name here, on our own, earned a name by our hard work, we completed shooting for Kaagaz 2. We were thinking of making another film together and were thinking of doing a play on young people)”

Earlier today, Anupam shared a picture of himself with the late actor on Twitter and penned an emotional note. The actor’s note read, “I know that death is the ultimate truth but never in my dreams I thought that I would have to write that about my best friend Satish Kaushik. A sudden full stop to 45 years of friendship. Life will never be the same without you Satish! Om Shanti.”

Satish Kaushik was one of the most loved actors in the industry. Satish was best known for his films Mr India, Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja, Prem, and Ram Lakhan among others. In his career, he had also directed films.

Recently, Satish celebrated Holi at Javed Akhtar’s house with Ali Fazal, Richa Chadha, and Mahima Chaudhry among others.
