Satyajeet Dubey’s mother tests positive for Covid-19; actor says, “It’s next to impossible to find a bed in hospitals right now”

‘Always Kabhi Kabhi’ actor Satyajeet Dubey‘s 54-year-old mother has tested positive for the deadly novel Coronavirus. Satyajeet took to his social media handle to reveal how the past few days have been difficult for him and his sister after their mother tested positive for Covid-19. The actor even expressed his gratitude for the doctors and all the frontline warriors.

Taking to his Instagram handle, Satyajeet revealed how his mother had a severe migraine attack and later when she was tested for Covid-19 the results came positive. His mother is now under observation in an isolation ward in Mumbai’s Nanavati hospital. Satyajeet and his sister are now in completed isolation at their home.

The actor also revealed that since he and his sister are showing no symptoms, they can’t get tested. “You can’t pinpoint where it came from. I spoke to the doctor, who said ‘You or your sister could be the carriers, or somebody in the building, or even a currency note’. But, my sister and I’ve been absolutely fine. We’re asymptomatic, and so we’re not supposed to test as per the BMC guidelines, ” he told Hindustan Times.

Sharing how difficult it is to find a bed in the hospitals now, Satyajeet told the daily, “As a son, I wanted to give her the best in terms of comfort. But, if you go through the normal channel, it’s next to impossible to find a bed in hospitals right now. Thank God for the kind of work I do, and the people I work with — I had to call a few people and pull some strings, and people were kind enough to say,  ’You don’t worry about it, we will help’, and they did.”

Satyajeet mentioned his ‘Prassthanam’ co-stars Sanjay Dutt and Ali Fazal for helping him in handling the situation. He also thanked Tisca Chopra, Amitosh Nagpal and his first co-star Zoa Morani, who successfully battled the deadly virus a few weeks back.

In order to help other people out there, Satyajeet even answered a set of frequently asked questions on his Insta handle. Alongside his post he wrote, “Bas kuch dino ki baat hai. Hang in there. Never let a bully win. Even if it’s a fucking virus.”
