The Supreme Court will hear an appeal by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) against Chehre actress Rhea Chakraborty’s bail today. It is in relation to the drug probe in the Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. The MS Dhoni actor passed away last year at his Bandra residence. Since then, his death case and the drug probe is under investigation by multiple agencies. Rhea was arrested by NCB last year and she spent almost a month in judicial custody. She was later granted bail by the Bombay High court. Now the NCB has filed a plea against Rhea’s bail.

According to a report by Hindustan Times, a bench of Chief Justice of India SA Bobde and justices AS Bopanna and V Ramasubramanian will hear the NCB’s appeal against. The anti-drug agency’s plea is against the Bombay High Court who had granted bail to Rhea saying that she is not to be charged for being allegedly involved in the commercial trade of the narcotics because there was no concrete evidence. Earlier, Rhea’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde had said in a statement, “The court has found no prima facie material, at the stage of bail, of alleged financing drugs etc.”
