SC on Sushant Singh Rajput’s Case: Justice will not prevail on the living alone, the departed will also sleep well

Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case took a major turn today as Supreme Court ordered a CBI probe in the case. For over two months, Sushant’s fans and family members have been urging for a fair probe in his mysterious death. The Apex Court finally gave them all a reason to rejoice.

In its verdict today, the SC said that a fair, competent, impartial investigation is need of the hour and hence the case is being handed to CBI.

According to a report by ANI, the Supreme Court while pronouncing its judgement said, “Sushant Singh Rajput was a talented actor & died well before his full potential could be realised. Many are keenly awaiting the outcome of the probe so speculations can be put to rest. Therefore a fair, competent, impartial investigation is need of the hour.”

An excerpt from SC’s 35-page order reads, “The actor Sushant Singh Rajput was a talented actor in the Mumbai film world and died well before his full potential could be realised. His family, friends and admirers are keenly awaiting the outcome of the investigation so that all the speculations floating around can be put to rest. Therefore a fair, competent and impartial investigation is the need of the hour. The expected outcome then would be, a measure of justice for the Complainant(KK Singh), who lost his only son.”

It further reads, “For the petitioner (Rhea Chakraborty) too, it will be the desired justice as she herself called for a CBI investigation. The dissemination of the real facts through unbiased investigation would certainly result in justice for the innocents, who might be the target of vilification campaign. Equally importantly, when integrity and credibility of the investigation is discernible, the trust, faith and confidence of the common man in the judicial process will resonate. When truth meets sunshine, justice will not prevail on the living alone but after Life’s fitful fever, now the departed will also sleep well. Satyameva Jayate.”

The SC has ordered Mumbai Police to hand over all the documents and evidence collected in Sushant’s case to CBI. The late actor’s family and fans are happy with CBI taking over his case.
