After the smashing box office success of ‘Baaghi’, director Sabbir Khan along with producer Sajid Nadiadwala, has decided to turn it into a successful franchise. That means, sequels of ‘Baaghi’ are now confirmed! They have even started working on the same.
“’Baaghi’ is the second hit in a row for Sajid bhai, Tiger and me. It has already crossed Rs 70 crore in India and Rs 100 crore worldwide. While we were hoping it would do well, we were surprised by the love the film has found. Sajid bhai is very happy and we have discussed that we would all love to make it a franchise. The conversation came up and he has also spoken to Tiger, who is also excited about the idea,” Sabbir Khan said while talking about the soon-to-be franchise.
The sequels (one or more) will mostly have Tiger Shroff as the lead actor while a different actress will be roped in as the leading lady each time. Treatment and content-wise, the makers are planning to take it to the level of ‘Rocky’ or ‘Rambo’.
Sabbir, who makes a great friend with Sajid Nadiadwala on the personal front, said, “Working with Sajid bhai is like working in my own home production. There is a great comfort level. I am taking this one day at a time and I want to put all my energies into one film and give it my best.”
‘Baaghi’ which also stars Shraddha Kapoor in lead, has already bagged Rs 100 crore worldwide and is still going fair.
