Shabana Azmi Car Accident: FIR lodged against the car driver for rash driving

Shabana Azmi is currently in the headlines after her car accident on January 18. The accident happened on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. Javed Akhtar who was present at the accident spot stated that she is stable now and speaking to people in her sense. On the other side, the lyricist has also informed that the accident took place because the rash driving by the driver. Now, the latest reports suggest that an FIR has been lodged against the driver.

As per the reports of Maharashtra Police, a complaint has been registered by Rejsh Pandurang Shinde( the truck driver whose vehicle got thrashed by Shabana Azmi’s car) on Mumbai-Pune Expressway.

“An FIR has been registered against Amlesh Kamat, driver of Shabana Azmi in Khalapur on a complaint filed by the truck driver. The FIR reads, ‘due to rash driving by the driver, the car hit the moving truck on Pune-Mumbai Expressway which resulted in the accident,” reads a tweet post of the news agency, ANI.

Shabana Azmi’s car driver, Amlesh Kamat apparently has also got injured severely and he is currently undergoing treatment. As per the reports, since the driver is seeking the treatment, his statement has not been recorded by the Police.
