Azmi will be seen playing Admiral Margaret Parangosky, the head of the Office of Naval Intelligence. As per a report in The Quint, she said, “It can’t get bigger than this! Asian actors have been fighting for colour blind casting for years. Finally, it has become a reality! This is completely new territory for me – I’m both excited and nervous which is a good place to be in.

According to a report by Variety, the adaptation will be of the same name. It will also feature Natascha McElhone, Bokeem Woodbine, Bentley Kalu, Natasha Culzac and Kate Kennedy.

According to a report by Firstpost, Showtime had previously said that Halo will dramatise the 26th-century conflict between humanity and an alien threat known as the Covenant. The network had also called Halo its “most ambitious series ever.”

In the past, the 68-year-old actress has been a part of several international projects including ‘Madame Sousatzka’, ‘La Nuit Bengali’, ‘City of Joy’ and ‘Son of Pink Panther’. She has also starred in TV shows like ‘Banglatown Banquet’, ‘Capital’ and ‘Next of Kin’ — a six-part series.
