Shabana Azmi is known to have done 160+ films in Bollywood across all genres. During the trailer launch of her upcoming series, Dabba Cartel, Shabana discusses working with younger actors and how much she loves working with them.
Shabana Azmi on working with younger actors
When asked about working with younger actors today, Shabana Azmi said, “I love it, I love it. I really really feel very grateful that I happen to be at the right place at the right time. And the fact that I am working with younger actors who are bringing completely different sensibilities from mine is always very exciting. Because you learn from each other, and I must tell you most of the younger actors come with some trepidation ki abhi pata nahi kya hone wala hai?”
She added, “They realise very soon ke aisa kuch nahi hai. And they become so comfortable ki mujhe laat maarke unhe yaadh dilana padhta hai main senior hoon, behave yourselves. So it is a very exciting time and for me the realisation that 50 years since I started I am still doing work that I enjoy. That I am very grateful for, I have done everything and in the end, I have realised that what I enjoy the most is that I love being an actor in front of the camera. So I am obviously very grateful for this opportunity.”
