Veteran actress Shabana Azmi, today, took to Twitter and slammed Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for ‘dealing and buying’ patriotism for Rs 5 crore.
This followed after politician Raj Thackeray and his party Maharashtra Navnirman Sena lifted their ban on Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ after an elaborate meeting took place between Fadnavis, Thackeray and Mukesh Bhatt, President of The Film and Television Producers Guild of India. In return, they demanded that Johar donates a share of profit to the Army Welfare Fund and producer of any film featuring a Pakistani artist should donate Rs 5 crore to the same fund.
