Shah Rukh Khan announces Dunki his first film with Rajkumar Hirani and we can’t keep calm

Shah Rukh Khan has left his fans intrigued as he announced his new movie Dunki with Raj Rajkumar Hirani with a quirky video. The actor will be seen starring opposite Taapsee Pannu in this one and the actor-director duo has already revealed the release date of the new film. Dunki will release in cinemas on December 22nd, 2023.

This will be the first time that Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani will be collaborating on a film. SRK shared a hilarious yet intriguing video announcing Dunki in which he is seen praising the movies that Hirani has directed so far. The movies were Ranbir Kapoor starrer Sanju, Sanjay Dutt starrer Munnabhai MBBS, and Aamir Khan starrer PK.

SRK then asks Hirani if he has anything as such for him in store. Hirani says he does and then King Khan asks if there is a lot of comedy in this movie, the director replies that there is ample of it. Khan asked, “Emotion hai” to which the filmmaker replied, “Woh Bhi hai.” Finally being the king of romance in Bollywood the actor asked if there is romance in the movie sticking his iconic pose, to which Hirani said, “Yes, but please avoid this action.” 

Shah Rukh Khan took to his social media account and announcing Dunki he wrote in the caption, “Dear @hirani.rajkumar sir, Aap toh Mere Santa Claus nikle. Aap shuru karo main time pe pahunch jaunga. actually main toh set par hi rehne lagunga!Feeling humbled and excited to finally work with you.Bringing to you all #Dunki in cinemas on 22nd December 2023(sic)”

Meanwhile, on the work front, SRK will be seen next in Pathaan with Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. Khan is also said to star in director Atlee’s next.
