Shah Rukh Khan – who is fondly known as the King of Bollywood, has shared the silver screen with several actresses. While he’s been paired with several beauties, Khan has played the love interest of actresses like Kajol, Anushka Sharma and Deepika Padukone several times. During a recent interview, SRK opened up about Anushka and knowing Virat Kohli ever since the two started dating.
In the same conversation, the Kolkata Knight Riders co-owner called the former India skipper Bollywood’s ‘daamad’ (son-in-law) and revealed teaching him Pathaan’s signature step.
Shah Rukh Khan calls Virat Kohli Bollywood’s son-in-law
While interacting with Star Sports, Shah Rukh Khan spoke at length about Virat Kohli. He said, “I spent a lot of time with him, I just love him. We say that he is our son-in-law, he is our fraternity’s ‘daamad.’ I have known him the most compared to other players. I have known Virat and Anushka for a long time, spent a lot of time with them. I know him since his dating period was going on and I was shooting the film with Anushka. So, he spent many days with us, and became very friendly.”
SRK on teaching Virat Pathaan’s hook step
In the same chat, Khan opened up about teaching Virat his signature step from Pathaan. King Khan said, “I taught him the Pathaan movie title song dance steps. I saw him in one of the India matches, he tried to dance with Ravindra Jadeja in the match. They were trying to do that dance step, I was very sad that they were doing it so badly! I told them let me make you learn the steps so that in the next World Cup and other Championships, whenever you dance at least you will call me and ask how to do the steps.”
Anushka and Virat Kohli tied the knot away from the media eye on December 11, 2017, in Italy. They have been blessed with two kids – a daughter, Vamika (born January 2021) and a son, Akaay (born February 2024).Â
Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma have starred in five films together. This includes Anushka’s debut film Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Jab Harry Met Sejal, Zero and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
