Shah Rukh Khan comes forward to help an ailing veteran journalist

Shah Rukh Khan is surely one of the most humbled stars we have seen in B-Town. The actor has come forward to help ailing veteran film journalist, Ali Peter John who met with an accident on November 19 and is currently admitted to Nanavati Super Speciality Hospital (NSSH).

The wife of Ali Peter John, Mrs. Usha Peter Ali, confirmed the news and said, “Shah Rukh has indeed offered financial aid for the treatment of my husband. His team approached us through Dr Ali Irani, HOD Physiotherapy, NSSH and stated that they would take care of all his hospitalization expenses.”

The veteran journalist has been in the industry since the past four decades. He has been close to celebs like Rajesh Khanna, Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. He had recently launched his book on Amitabh Bachchan.

Dr. A.R.Karkhanis, Trauma & Orthopedic Surgeon, who is treating the journalist, said, “The accident has led to multiple fractures in his left foot. Following a series of complex surgeries, we have fixed his foot and held it together with wires and plaster. The skin of his left foot’s sole has come off completely and will have to be replaced with a skin grafting procedure. There is no need to amputate his foot and only the crushed toes have been amputated.”
