Shah Rukh Khan, who previously revealed he smoked up to 100 cigarettes a day, delighted fans on his birthday by announcing that he has quit smoking. During a meet-and-greet event held on Saturday to celebrate his special day, the actor, known for his honesty about his smoking habit, shared this exciting news with his supporters.

In a video posted by the fan page Shah Rukh Khan Universe, SRK made his significant announcement, stating, “There’s a good thing – I’m not smoking anymore, guys,” to an excited audience. The Dunki star elaborated on his choice, expressing his desire to feel less breathless after quitting, although he admitted he is still adjusting. “Mujhe laga tha ki I will not feel so breathless, but abhi bhi feel kar raha hu (I thought I wouldn’t feel breathless after quitting smoking, but I still do),” he confessed, maintaining a hopeful outlook with, “Inshallah, woh bhi theek ho jayega” (By God’s grace, that will also be fine).

On his birthday, Shah Rukh received heartfelt wishes from his daughter Suhana and wife Gauri Khan on social media. Suhana celebrated her father with a touching collage of vintage monochromatic photos that showcased his playful moments with their family, captioning one with, “Happy Birthday (heart emoji).
