Did you know Shah Rukh Khan did not drink water for 2 days during Om Shanti Om song Dard-E-Disco shoot?

Shah Rukh Khan is a talented actor and there’s absolutely no denying that. Over the years, SRK has given impeccable performances in movies including Om Shanti Om, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Pathaan, and Jawan among others. Undoubtedly, he is one of the hard working actors in Bollywood. Speaking of that, Farah Khan, who has worked with Shah Rukh Khan and is a good friend, shared an interesting anecdote about him from the sets of Om Shanti Om.

SRK did not drink water for 2 days during Dard-E-Disco song shoot

Farah Khan recently revealed that while shooting for the Om Shanti Om song Dard-E-Disco, Shah Rukh Khan did not have water for 2 days. Indian Express quoted her saying, “I wanted a bare body shot of his in Main Hoon Na but he couldn’t work on his body as he had a back injury and had to get surgery. So during Om Shanti Om, he said I promised you that the first time I remove my shirt (on camera), I’ll do it for you. He didn’t have water for two days because it causes bloating. In Dard-E-Disco, he couldn’t even dance properly because he was cramping so much.”

Om Shanti Om was directed by Farah Khan and starred SRK opposite Deepika Padukone. Arjun Rampal played the role of a villain in the film.

On the other hand, Shah Rukh Khan and Farah have worked together multiple times including Jawan song Chaleya. Farah recalled working with SRK and said, “I just did a song for Jawan. After 32 years, I wanted to do rehearsal. I said, ‘What is wrong with you? Are you crazy?’ He said, ‘No, I am thinking that if I rehearse, I will be able to dance better.” Well, that proves how hard working SRK is.

Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming movie

This year, Shah Rukh Khan delivered hits with Pathaan and Jawan. Both his films entered 1000 crore club at the worldwide box office. The actor now has Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki co-starring Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal. Dunki will be clashing with Prabhas starrer Salaar on 22nd December at the box office.
