Coronavirus has taken over the world and caused a major crisis. There is a scarcity of medical apparatus to treat patients and protective gears are also running out of stock. Recently, superstar Shah Rukh Khan provided 25,000 of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits to the frontline medical staff who are selflessly working to contain the pandemic in Maharastra.

Rajesh Tope, Minister of Public Health and Family Welfare of Maharashtra, thanked the actor for providing 25,000 PPE kits to the frontline medical staff in Maharashtra. In his tweet, Tope wrote, “Many thanks Mr. Shah Rukh Khan for your kind contribution of 25,000 PPE kits. This will go a long way in supporting our fight against COVID19 & protecting our frontline medical care team @iamsrk @MeerFoundation @CMOMaharashtra(sic).”

To this, the ‘Chennai  Express’ actor replied with gratitude and said that we are all united in this time of crisis. SRK wrote, “Thank you sir for all your help to source the kits. We are all together in this endeavour to protect ourselves and humanity. Glad to be of service. May your family & team be safe and healthy.”

Recently, Shah Rukh along with wife Gauri had also offered their four-storey office to treat Covid-19 patients. The actor had also announced a series of initiatives to help citizens as well. It included donating to the PM-CARES Fund through Kolkata Knight Riders, Red Chillies Entertainment, Meer Foundation and Red Chillies VFX.

Bollywood celebs such as Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Hrithik Roshan, Hema Malini, Rajinikanth, and few others have also made donations for India’s fight against Covid-19.
