Shah Rukh Khan fans celebrate 8 years of ‘Chak De! India’

Bollywood’s Badshah Shah Rukh Khan had impressed critics and audiences alike in his first sports based film ‘Chak De’ India. Today the critically acclaimed film has completed eight years. ‘Chak De! India was one of the finest sports based film made in Bollywood, King Khan’s portrayal of a hockey coach to an all girls team was much loved by his fans. It was truly one of Shah Rukh Khan’s finest onscreen portrayal.

King Khan’s fans have been trending the topic ‘8 Years of Chak De India’on Twitter. The topic has been trending for more than 12 hours now. Shah Rukh Khan’s character named Kabir Khan in the movie draws parallels from former Hockey captain Mir Ranjan Negi. However, screenwriter Jaideep Sahni had reportedly denied this and said that the similarity was just coincidental.

Shah Rukh Khan was immensely praised for his performance as the tainted Hockey captain. Fans took to Twitter to share deleted scenes, some emotional moments and striking dialogues from the movie. Shah Rukh Khan too tweeted,
