The title and teaser of Nag Ashwin’s magnum opus Project K was unveiled during the grand event at San Deigo Comic-Con. Touted to be India’s Mytho-sci-fi epic , the film has been named as Kalki 2898 AD. Apart from Kalki 2898 AD, Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan is also one of the anticipated films among the cinegoers. The teaser of the same was unveiled a few days back and it took the internet by storm. However, we noticed a similarity between Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan’s look in the teasers. Even though both the films have different genres, we witnessed a similarity in the looks of Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan’s look in the teasers. In Kalki 2898 AD teaser, Amitabh Bachchan’s character looks like an intense, warrior draped in bandages. While Amitabh Bachchan ruled that frame with his aura, a similar glimpse was seen in Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan teaser in which we see his character is also wrapped in bandages and showing his unmatchable swag. Kalki 2898 AD release date
For those unversed, Project K is the first Indian movie to be launched at San Diego Comic-Con. The grant event took place on 20 July 2023 amidst the presence of the entire film team. However, Deepika Padukone had to miss the launch due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike.
The mega-budget pan-India features stalwarts like Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani in prominent roles. Directed by Nag Ashwin of Mahanati fame, the groundbreaking sci-fi masterpiece is bankrolled by C Aswani Dutt from Vyjayanthi Movies. The magnum opus is set to hit the screens on 12th January, 2024.

The Shah Rukh Khan starrer also features Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi and Deepika Padukone in a special appearance along with Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Girija Oak, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Lehar Khan, Aaliyah Qureshi, Ridhi Dogra, Sunil Grover and Mukesh Chhabra in supporting roles. It is directed by Atlee, who previously helmed box office spinners like Mersal, Bigil and Theri. The massy-actioner is produced by SRK’s Red Chillies Entertainment.
