Shah Rukh Khan jokes about playing the ‘baddie’ in a James Bond film, says, ‘I am brown enough to play the part’

Over the years, Shah Rukh Khan has proved his versatility as an actor with brilliant performances in his movies. Apart from that, he has also always convinced fans that he has a great sense of humour. Well, speaking of that, King Khan recently attended the World Government Summit 2024 in Dubai. The actor spoke about how he would love to play a villain in the James Bond film.

Shah Rukh Khan wants to play a Bond baddie

In the video shared by King Khan’s manager, he joked about ‘not being a legend’ and said, when asked what his name was, “I am James Bond.” When asked if he would like to play Bond, he responded saying, “I really wanted to but I think I am too short… But I am brown enough to play the Bond baddie.”

Shah Rukh Khan talks about rejecting Slumdog Millionaire

Furthermore, SRK also opened up about rejecting Slumdog Millionaire. For the uninitiated, SRK was offered to play the role of Prem Kumar, played by Anil Kapoor in Danny Boyle’s Oscar winning film.

King Khan shared, “Yes, Slumdog was there, and I spent a lot of time with Mr Boyle. He was very sweet. But I was doing Who Wants to be a Millionaire on television, but I just felt that in the story being told, the guy who was hosting was very mean. The guys who were producing the show wanted me to do the film. But the character was cheating and being dishonest as the host, I found that vert strange, and I explained to Mr Boyle that I wouldn’t like to do it, please, and there are way better actors than me. Mr Anil Kapoor did it, and he was fantastic as the host.”

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki co-starring Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, and Boman Irani.
