Shah Rukh Khan is truly the king of hearts, and rightly so. The legendary star who celebrates his 52nd birthday, had some candid revelations to make, at the press conference that he held today. From what he feels on social media birthday wishes, on how the word ‘NO’ affects him, he bared it all.
SRK opened up on the fact as to how long does he take for saying ‘NO’ to a particular person because he feels bad about it. He opened up about an old TV show that he had rejected, and said, “I always take time out to say NO. If you like something, you say, ‘I’ll do it’, but when I have to say NO to a film, it takes me three months. I take long time because I don’t want to hurt anyone. So when you are saying NO, it takes me longer. Sometimes, in the time period that I am saying NO, people start thinking I am saying YES. Everybody jokes about this that I take so long to say NO to someone, that people don’t realise that I am saying NO.”
He also went on to say that he also didn’t like to say no because people thought their creativity was being questioned, that he did not like the script. But the cutest was when he revealed that he himself was bad at taking NO for an answer.
Not just this, SRK had a take on social media birthday wishes as well. (Also Read: OH FRESH! Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday celebration pictures from Alibaug)
We all eagerly wait for our birthdays, that one day when we feel special, and are pampered throughout the day. For SRK, who has so many fans for whom his birthday is a festival, this day is just an ordinary day in the course of life. Though he said that he is thankful to his fans for all the love. But he surely made us laugh out loud when he spoke on how he felt about birthdays on social media, a current trend. Shah Rukh said, “I am one person who doesn’t wish anyone happy birthday on social media, because I think it’s like standing outside somebody’s house and screaming ‘Happy Birthday’ for no reason.”
However, SRK also added that he would be replying to all the tweets that have come pouring in for him. He said, “But having said that, I would also say that though I have not been able to see (the tweets) as I did not have 3G in Alibaug. But I will see them at night and I would like to reply to all of them. It’s a big task. I will try and keep awake and night and do it. That’s the least I can do I think. To reply to everyone and say ‘thank you’, not like a mass message, individualise it and sit down and do it. Because everybody goes through so much trouble, so I think it is very kind of them.”
