Shah Rukh Khan mourns the death of his ‘Swades’ co-star Kishori Ballal

Veteran actress Kishori Ballal took her last breath on February 18. As per reports, she was suffering from age-related problems and was admitted to a hospital in Bengaluru. She was 82 at the time of death. She worked in ‘Swades’ with Shah Rukh Khan where she played the character Kaveri amma.

Shah Rukh took to his Twitter handle to mourn the death of Kishori Ballal. He tweeted, “May her soul rest in peace. Kishori ‘Amma’ will be sorely missed. Especially, how she used to reprimand me for smoking. May Allah look after her.”

Also ‘Swades’ director Ashutosh Gowariker remembered the actress. He was ‘terribly sad’ by her demise.

Kishori Ballal had acted in over 75 movies and apart from Shah Rukh, she also worked with Rani Mukerji and Deepika Padukone in ‘Aiyyaa’ and ‘Lafangey Parindey’. She appeared in movies like ‘Carry On Maratha’, ‘Kahi’, ‘Aakramana’, and ‘Ek Alag Mausam’ among others.
