After being granted Y+ security recently, Shah Rukh Khan made his first outing to surprise fans at the special screening of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai as the film completed 25 years. The actor was accompanied by Karan Johar and Rani Mukerji.

After giving back-to-back blockbusters with Pathaan and Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan was given Y+ security recently amid death threats. Post that, the superstar made his first public appearance on Sunday night. SRK went to surprise fans at a special screening of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai to mark 25 years of the film.

Shah Rukh Khan steps out with Y plus security

A video that has surfaced online, sees King Khan coming out of Mannat with a convoy of cars. Apart from his own, there were many cars that went ahead and behind the actor’s. The tight security came as a result to the death threats SRK received after giving two blockbusters this year. Intelligence reports had stated that the threat to SRK’s life has ‘increased significantly’.

As per reports, SRK’s security arrangement includes 6 police commandos as his bodyguards at all times. They will all be armed with MP-5 machine guns, AK-47 assault rifles and Glock pistols. His house, Mannat, will also have 4 armed policemen guarding it at all times.

SRK attend Kuch Kuch Hota Hai screening

October 16 marks 25 years of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. The film was Karan Johar’s directorial debut and was a blockbuster at its release. The SRK, Kajol and Rani Mukerji starrer became a cult classic over time. To celebrate it’s 25 years, a special screening of the film happened in the city. And to make it more special, KJo, SRK and Rani surprised fans at the screening.

SRK opted for a black ensemble with a leather jacket and sported his cool pony tail. Karan also chose tow ear a black suit while Rani wore a beige saree. Kajol couldn’t make it to the screening as she had to rush out of the country for a shoot. As for the other three, they interacted with fans at the screening.
