Shah Rukh Khan promises Pathaan will be worth the wait as he talks about his comeback after 4 years

Shah Rukh Khan is arguably the biggest superstar that India has ever seen. His aura and his stature are unmatched by any out there, but he always recognises and acknowledges the love he receives from his fans, and maybe that’s why he is called the people’s star. His interactive sessions on Twitter with fans, titled #AskSRK, are quite fun and the actor indeed opens up about himself in these interactions. Today, he had yet another session of Ask SRK and Shah Rukh Khan gave some more interesting answers filled with his signature sense of humour.

During the interaction, SRK spoke about his experience of working on Pathaan and his co-stars Deepika Padukone, John Abraham and director Siddharth Anand as well. In one of the questions, a fan had quite a sad piece of information rather than a query for SRK, but the Badshah made even that entertaining with his quirky sense of humour. As the fan said, “Socha tha gf ke sath pathaan dekhunga lekin uski shadi kisi aur ke ho jayegi (sic),” SRK felt his pain and quipped, “So sorry man. But akele mein bhi film acchi hi lagegi…don’t worry. (sic)”

Not just that, Shah Rukh also spoke about his acting comeback after four years. His last on screen appearance in a full feature film was in the 2018 film Zero. After that, he didn’t appear in films for 3 years and in 2022, he gave three memorable cameos in Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, Laal Singh Chaddha and Brahmastra. His first leading role after Zero is going to be in Pathaan, so when a fan asked him, “How it feels to be back on screen after a long pause? #AskSRK (sic),” the actor gave an adorable reply saying, “It’s like coming back home… (sic)”.

Shah Rukh may have been missing from the big screen in leading roles for a while now, but he is all set to make all that wait worth it as next year, he has three films releasing in theatres. He opens the year with Pathaan releasing on January 25, then he has Atlee’s Jawan coming in June and then he will close the year too with Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki in December. He recently released the teaser of Pathaan on his birthday and the fans are already going gaga over his comeback.
