Shah Rukh Khan’s next with Rajkumar Hirani is a social comedy based on immigration?

Its been almost two years since Shah Rukh Khan was seen on the silver screen. The actor has made his fans wait for quite a long time and everyone is dying to know which film is going to be his next. Obviously speculation surrounding his next film is rife however reports suggest that SRK will be collaborating with Rajkumar Hirani for his next. And the latest development on the project is that the film is a social comedy based on immigration.

As per a report in Mumbai Mirror, the film is written by Kanika Dhillon and Hirani with Abhijat Joshi. Talking about the film a source told the tabloid, “Like all Raju films, it revolves around a serious, globally relevant issue and is treated with gentle humour. The story moves between Punjab and Canada.”

Further revealing about SRK’s character the source said that the actor will play a jovial guy who will the audience laugh and emotional. Apparently the actor will be sporting long hairs in the film and it will perhaps go on the floors before the year-end. “It was set to go on the floors in August, but the pandemic hit the plan for a six. The trio is currently giving a finishing touch to the script, after which the team will chalk out a new schedule. The film requires a long outdoor shoot abroad and they will wait till travel restrictions are eased. If things get back to normal soon, it should kick off before the year ends,” the source told the tabloid.

Well, this piece of news will indeed make the day of the superstar’s fans who just can’t wait for the actor to make an official announcement soon.
