Shah Rukh Khan reveals that Diplo convinced him to shoot for ‘Phurrr’ from ‘JHMS’

Recently, a picture of Shah Rukh Khan with American DJ Diplo went viral for all the right reasons. Earlier, there were reports of them teaming up for a single until the cat was out of the bag and Diplo shared a picture with SRK, followed by King Khan himself letting the world know that he is collaborating with Diplo for a song ‘Phurrr’ from the movie ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’. The actor, who had been vacationing with his wife and kids in Los Angeles at the time, shot for it there along with the International sensation, for the same.

SRK spoke about the same to a popular tabloid, “Diplo had a show in Miami, but he postponed it and flew down to LA instead.” He further stated that he wasn’t going to be a part of the video, but it was on Diplo’s insistence that he agreed. “I went on the set to meet him. But, he insisted on me being a part of the video, and I had to oblige. He showed me some swag moves, and I just copied him,” says SRK. Giving further insights into their bonding, he said, “Diplo has spent a lot of time in Kolkata, so he loves India and our culture. He was sweet enough to give me a jacket of his record label, Mad Decent.” Diplo’s kids are huge fans of the actor and were pleasantly delighted to meet him. SRK was surprised to discover this as he said, “I was surprised that his sons knew of me. Unfortunately, my kids couldn’t come because it was an early morning shoot.”

The actor and the musician go back to his ‘Dear Zindagi’ days when Diplo visited India for a show and flew down to Goa to catch up with SRK on the sets of the movie. Talking about ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’, almost all the songs are chartbusters and the mini trails and trailer have also garnered a lot of buzz. Presented by Red Chillies Entertainment, ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ which is directed by Imtiaz Ali is all set to release on August 4, 2017.
