Devendra Fadnavis, the leader of the BJP legislature party, is poised to take the oath of office as Maharashtra’s Chief Minister today in a ceremony at Azad Maidan, Mumbai. This will mark Fadnavis’ third term in the role, with Shiv Sena’s Eknath Shinde and NCP’s Ajit Pawar serving as his deputy chief ministers. The event is expected to draw around 42,000 attendees, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, various Union ministers, and numerous Bollywood celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and others.

Bhaijaan reunited with SRK in formal attire at the event despite facing death threats.
Ranveer Singh was also spotted mingling with the Ambani family at the venue. Sanjay Dutt made an appearance as well.
Other celebrities in attendance include Ranbir Kapoor, and Shraddha Kapoor, who was accompanied by Varun Dhawan.
Janhvi Kapoor with her rumoured boyfriend, Shikhar Pahariya was also present.
Arjun Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit Nene, and her husband Sriram Nene were also among the prominent figures at the ceremony. Additionally, Vicky Kaushal and Vikrant Massey, recently in the limelight for his retirement post, were noted attendees.
Earlier today, Devendra Fadnavis paid his respects by offering prayers at Shree Siddhivinayak Temple and Shree Mumbadevi Temple in Mumbai. The swearing-in ceremony comes after the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance achieved a remarkable victory in the Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024. They secured a total of 235 seats, with the BJP alone winning 132 seats. The Shiv Sena and NCP followed with 57 and 41 seats, respectively, solidifying their presence in the assembly.
