Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan coming together for Pathaan bring back the grandeur of Bollywood

Stars may come and stars may go in the Hindi film industry, but the stature of stardom that the 3 Khans in Bollywood enjoy, that will probably remain unmatched till eternity. Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan collectively form Bollywood royalty. For them to come together is no less than a festival in itself. And as an audience, we have been fortunate enough to see it multiple times just in the last one year.

When Aamir Khan came with Laal Singh Chaddha last year, more than the whole film itself, the thing that created the maximum amount of buzz was the cameo of Shah Rukh in it. And it didn’t disappoint. With this week’s release Pathaan, that magic was experienced again with Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan coming together. This cannot even be called a spoiler as both SRK and Salman have spoken multiple times in the past two years about making cameos in each other’s films, Pathaan and Tiger 3.

But even with the knowledge of it happening, the curiosity and excitement of the audiences just depict how important and big this event is. Ever since Pathaan released on Wednesday, a whole section of the social media has been celebrating the union of OG ‘Karan Arjun’. SRK and Salman have had a rocky yet iconic history of their own. They were friends, got distant and then got back together too, but the respect they have had for each other never reduced.

Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan Teaser released with Pathaan

The last time they came together was for the 2018 release Zero, and even though the film might not have worked as well, their scene was met with a roaring reception. Something similar has happened with Pathaan too as videos of people breaking into a thunderous celebration on the entry of Salman have just taken over the internet. And not just the cameo, but the teaser of Salman’s next, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan also got unveiled with Pathaan, showing how significant this association of SRK-Salman is.

The coming together of these two superstars just proves that the grandeur of Bollywood is something that can be experienced in theatres only. And these two are indeed film royalty. The box office collection of Pathaan and the roaring review the film has received is just a proof to that. While we know that we will see them come together for Tiger 3 as well, this appearance has just increased the curiosity for that. Siddharth Anand has made use of this grand union quite well in Pathaan, now we just can’t wait to see how Maneesh Sharma will give his spin to it in Tiger 3.
