Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan among 10 others detained by the NCB in drug seizure case; Report

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan was detained by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Sunday, October 3. He was detained over a drug seizure on a cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai. It was on Saturday, October 2, that the NCB raided a cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai and busted a rave party. The reports mentioned that a Bollywood superstar’s son was included in the 10 people detained during the seizure. According to a report in News18, sources revealed that Aryan Khan is currently being questioned by agency officials.

In a significant development in the case, according to the report, sources revealed that Aryan Khan’s WhatsApp chats are being examined by the NCB. As per the reports, if the agency finds any involvement of the star kid in the case, he could be charged under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985.

After busting the rave party on Saturday night, the NCB issued a statement. In a statement from Sunday morning, the NCV mentioned that a total of 8 persons, including 2 females have been apprehended. The statement mentioned that the agency is probing the role in the case. NCB said in the statement that further investigation is underway.

The statement read: “On the basis of specific information, officials of NCB Mumbai conducted a raid on Cordelia cruise, which was bound from Mumbai to Goa on 02.10.2021. During the operation, all suspects as per the information were searched and various drugs like MDMA/ Ecstasy, Cocaine, MD (Mephedrone) and charas have been recovered. A total of 8 persons, including 2 females, have been apprehended and their role being investigated in relation to the said recovery. NCB Mumbai has registered Crime no. Cr 94/21 in this matter. Further investigation is underway.”

For the unversed, the rave party was busted on a cruise ship. The party reportedly began after the ship left Mumbai and was to reach mid-sea.

In the past few months, the NCB has been investigating the alleged drug nexus in the city. After the demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, the agency summoned quite a few Bollywood celebrities for questioning in the drugs case.
