Actor Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan has set the cash registers on fire since it was released. Fans are not just watching the movie but they are celebrating it like a festival. Not only in the North but also in the South. Seeing the craze around Jawan, the movie has done phenomenal business at the box office. Nevertheless, the latest report suggests that Jawan has been sold to the OTT giant Netflix for a whopping amount of Rs 250 crores.

However, there’s a treat for his fans and we are sure, it will surely leave you all excited. According to the reports, Jawan’s extended version which was not shown in the theatre will be released on the OTT platform. Moreover, the OTT version’s runtime is said to be 3 hours 15 minutes whereas the original one in the theatre is 2 hours 45 mins. The longer version will also feature some deleted scenes. Reportedly, the makers are planning to add major action scenes which were chopped for the theatrical release.
Sometime back, Jawan director Atlee revealed that fans will get a different experience on OTT than they did in the theatre. Atlee told Pinkvilla, “I think we have given the theatre the right ratio of emotions at the right length. For OTT, we are considering a different rhythm. So, yeah, we are working on something. That’s why I didn’t go on my holiday. Let’s see. Let me surprise you all.”

Jawan box office collections
Speaking about the box office numbers, within a mere 11 days, Jawan has amassed a staggering 430.44 crore in the Hindi language alone. In all languages, the film boasts a formidable Indian net collection of Rs 479.99 crore. Atlee directorial is now inching closer to the Rs 500 crore mark. On the other hand, Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan collected approximately Rs 860 crores in the worldwide markets.
Directed by Atlee, Shah Rukh Khan is in a double role alongside Nayanthara who played his love interest. Vijay Sethupathi played the antagonist whereas Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt impressed everyone with their special appearances. Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Lehar Khan, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Sunil Grover, and Ridhi Dogra had pivotal roles.
