Shah Rukh Khan to be conferred with an honorary membership by Jodhpur Guide Association

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has been approached by the Jodhpur Tourist Guide Association for an honorary membership. The association will be conferring Shah Rukh Khan with a membership and badge as a token of their appreciation. The state of Rajasthan is a tourist attraction in India with the job of a tourist guide being a full-time one here. Jodhpur Guide Association, Rajasthan is a 148 member body which consists of Tourist Guides from across the city. Since SRK plays the role of a tourist guide in his forthcoming movie ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’, the association is a gesture of appreciation and awe by the real tourist guides to SRK.

Ratan Singh Rathore, President of Jodhpur Tourist Guide Association says, “We are very excited to bestow Shah Rukh Khan with an honorary membership at our Jodhpur Tourist Guide Association. It would be an honour to host him. It is a matter of pride that he would represent our profession in ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’. We are happy as he will bring recognition to the job of a tourist guide.” After legendary actor Dev Anand’s role in the movie ‘Guide’ nearly 52 years back, SRK is portraying the role of a tourist guide in a movie. In the movie ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’, SRK plays the role of Harinder Singh Nehra, a professional tourist guide in Canada. The movie also stars Anushka Sharma as a Gujarati girl, Sejal Zaveri who is a tourist in search of her engagement ring. The movie which is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and directed by Imtiaz Ali, is slated to release on August 4, 2017.
