Shah Rukh Khan to donate proceedings of a concert for Farmers

The farmers in Maharashtra have been stressed out due to the meagre rainfall, unable to take up the stress anymore many are resorting to ending up their lives. On realising the pitiable condition of the farmers, Bollywood has been lending a helping hand to them, from Nana Patekar to Akshay Kumar each has done a little something for them.

Now it seems that King Khan too has stepped in to do the needful. Shah Rukh Khan will now be performing at a concert and donate the proceedings towards the betterment of the farmers.

Confirming the news Anubhav Sinha said, “This concert has been on my mind since quite some time, but I began speaking to people about it only a week back. The concert which is titled, ‘Son of Soil’, will have none other than Shah Rukh Khan dancing to his hit numbers”.

Anubhav Sinha added, “I met SRK and discussed the idea with him, but even before I finished my sentence, he told me with a straight face, ‘Just tell me where do I have to be and when.’ He was immediately on board. It will be either Delhi or Mumbai. It depends on which city gives us the maximum sponsorship opportunities. The idea is to get influential people on board and create more awareness about this problem.”
