This December, everyone’s desperately waiting for two big budget, multi starrer films to clash at the box office. With Rohit Shetty’s ‘Dilwale’ set to clash with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’ on December 18, the pre-effects of the war have already begun.
As of now, in this race to make it big at the box office, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon starrer ‘Dilwale’ seems to be leading as they have managed to bag maximum number of screens at multiplexes as compared to Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra’s ‘Bajirao Mastani.’ According to the latest reports, ‘Dilwale’ supposedly is the hottest choice amongst the distributors and exhibitors as the commercial value of the film is a bit higher as compared to that of ‘Bajirao Mastani.‘ Rohit Shetty’s ‘Dilwale,’ which marks the comeback of the iconic Jodi of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, will be approximately seen in 2500 to 3000 screens whereas, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s most ambitious project ‘Bajirao Mastani, ’ will entertain the audience in approximately 1800 to 2000 screens.
The trailers, teasers and posters along with the promotional events of both the films have already created a much-needed hype for films. But with this uneven distribution of a number of screens shared by the two, it would be interesting to see who will manage to make it big at the box office.
