Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Zero’ trailer crosses 54 million views in 24 hours; breaks record

It’s a great time to be a SRK fan. On his 53rd birthday, we saw him release the trailer of his latest film ‘Zero’ amidst much fanfare. The response to the trailer has been terrific and it has already garnered more than 54 million views across platforms in under 24 hours. This has set a new benchmark as no other Indian film has been able to garner more views than this.

In 24 hours, the film received 41 million views on YouTube. It was also the fastest to reach one million views on Facebook and fastest to one million likes on YouTube. Certainly, isn’t that impressive?

The movie sees Shah Rukh Khan play a vertically challenged man, Anushka Sharma play a woman with cerebral palsy and Katrina Kaif play an alcoholic actress. The film has been directed by Aanand L. Rai who has previously directed films like ‘Tanu Weds Manu’, ‘Raanjhana’ and ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’.

The expectations are really high from the film, as SRK’s last release ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ failed to be liked by audiences and critics alike. If the trailer’s success is anything to go by, ‘Zero’ is set to be a blockbuster and probably the biggest hit of SRK’s career. Do you think so too? Do let us know.
