Shahid, Mira and Misha

Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput’s little munchkin Misha recently turned one on August 26. The ladorable family flew down to London to ring in her first birthday. We had been awaiting pictures from the private birthday party and now we finally managed to get one from a fan page on social media!

In the picture, we see Shahid and Mira helping Misha cut the cake while she seems distracted by the cameras. Wearing a cream coloured frock, Misha looked like an angel on her birthday and the picture is too adorable for words. Have a look:

Recently, when Mira was asked about the constant media attention for Misha, she had said, “As far as media attention is concerned, I know it’s going to happen. I can’t keep Misha behind closed doors all the time. I want her to have a normal childhood. I want her to know that she has the privileges that she has because of her father. She has to respect that. I just hope that she doesn’t get swept away by the tide.Obviously, I want to share what Misha does with my family and friends. Shahid also wants to do so with his friends and family. She is our pride, but there is always a line. I want to protect her as much as I can.” (Also Read: PICS: Misha’s shopping day out with granny is brightening up a dull Monday)

Shahid had also spoken about the changes in his life post the birth of Misha. He had said, “I am always trying to entertain Misha and I am down on my hands and knees all the time. I think I have become goofier after having my baby. I am doing more stupid things. I am trying to get her attention all the time. Just like a puppy who jumps around to get your attention. I also like being home more now. That is one of the biggest changes in me. That’s not something I used to like doing before. I was not a morning person. But because Misha wakes up early, I also try and get up by that time to be with her. This was not me. I would always spend like 20 minutes after waking up to get up. Getting my coffee, reading the papers and then being grumpy for sometime, going for a shower and then waking up. Now, that’s not the case. I am wide awake. So yeah, it brought about many changes.”

On the work front, the actor will next be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’ which also stars Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in lead roles.
