Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor to reunite for Jab We Met 2? Deets inside

Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shahid Kapoor starrer Jab We Met was released in 2007. Directed by Imtiaz Ali, the rom-com enjoys a cult status even today. This year has been phenomenal for Bollywood at the box office due to the unprecedented success of sequels and franchises. As per the latest reports, Kareena and Shahid starrer will also have a sequel and Jab We Met 2 is in the making.

Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan to team up for Jab We Met 2?

If the report is to be believed, Imtiaz Ali, who directed the first film, is likely to direct the sequel too. While there is no official announcement regarding #JabWeMet2 from the makers, it is now being speculated if Kareena and Shahid will come together for the movie and reprise their roles as Geet and Aditya respectively. To note, their chemistry cast a spell in 2007 and was one of the reason that made film a humongous success.

Talking about a Jab We Met sequel, Shahid earlier stated in an interview, “It really depends on the quality of that script. So if there is a script that demands a sequel and I feel it is the kind of script that you read and say ‘man this will be better than the original this can match up to the original’ I would do it but if I feel it’s not and I’m just trying to use the brand value of the original thing to do then I feel that that ‘why are you doing it, don’t do it’.”

For those unversed, the actors were even in a relationship for a brief time. They started dating in 2003 and parted ways in 2007. While Shahid is now married to Mira Rajput, Kareena is happy with Saif Ali Khan.
