Haider is one of the critically acclaimed films of Shahid Kapoor. For this, he also garnered heaps of praise for his role. Now, he has made an interesting revelation that he did not charge any fee for Haider.

Did Shahid Kapoor not charge a fee for Haider?

Speaking with Filmy Companion, Shahid said, “I’m the only one who did it for free.” He added, “They couldn’t afford me. They said if they had to pay me, then the budget of the film wouldn’t get sanctioned because it was a very experimental subject. They really didn’t know if it would land at all but it was a very compelling kind of product to make and so I said, ‘Yeah, I will do it for free.”

Further, he was also asked if he had done another other film without charging anything. He said, “It was only time I did it. It just happened at that time. I said, ‘Yeah let’s do it, it’s okay,'” He added, “Ghar bhi chalana hai (I have to look after my household as well)”
