Why is Shahid Kapoor excited about a remake?

Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor was well appreciated by the critics for his performance in ‘Haider’. He is at present busy with the shoot of ‘Udta Punjab’ that has his ex girlfriend Kareena Kapoor too in it. But the movie that seem to be exciting Shahid Kapoor is a remake of a Telugu film Magadheera.

The reason behind his excitement is that his childhood dream of playing the role of a warrior is being fulfilled. Shahid says, “Since childhood I have always wanted to sit on a horse and hold a sword in my hand… Magadheera is giving me that opportunity.”

Telugu film Magadheera was about reincarnation. The plot revolves around four people: A valiant warrior in charge of the princess’ safety, the princess who loves him, her cousin who lusts after her and an emperor who wants to conquer their kingdom. They all die before their wishes are fulfilled and are reborn after four centuries, at which point the warrior kills the scheming cousin with the support of the emperor and wins over the princess.

The movie has been made in many languages and now it is being made in Hindi with Shahid Kapoor in the role of a Warrior.
