Shahid Kapoor vs Yash: Jersey to CLASH with KGF Chapter 2 in April 2022

Shahid Kapoor starrer Jersey is all set to now release worldwide in theatres on the 14th of April 2022. The film was all set to come out in December when many states closed cinemas due to rising Omicron cases. The announcement was made by Shahid Kapoor on his Twitter.

“So so happy to announce that our beloved film #Jersey will be releasing worldwide in theatres on the 14th of April 2022. See you in the theatres,” Shahid tweeted.

Interestingly, with this new release date now, Shahid Kapoor’s upcoming sports drama film, Jersey, will be releasing with Yash’s action-thriller film, KGF: Chapter 2. The audience is all set to witness a massive box office clash with Shahid Kapoor’s Jersey and Yash’s KGF: Chapter 2 locking horns for the first time.

One of the much-anticipated pan-India films KGF: Chapter 2, starring Yash in the lead role will also be out in theatres on April 14, 2022. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Srinidhi Shetty, Raveena Tandon and Prakash Raj in the pivotal roles.

Sharing the announcement, Yash tweeted: “The uncertainties of today will only delay our resolve, but the eventuality is as promised.We will be out in theaters on april 14th 2022.”

The movie is the sequel of Yash’s 2018 period action film which was released in multiple languages including Hindi and Kannada. It will release in Kannada along with the dubbed versions of Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam languages, directed by Prashanth Neel, and produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the banner Hombale Films.
