Shahid Kapoor is fresh from the success of his recently released, ‘Kabir Singh’, also starring Kiara Advani. The actor was said to star in Nikkhil Advani’s production venture next, but we now hear that he has opted out of the project. Read on to know why…
Shahid was said to be teaming up with Nikkhil for Dingko Singh biopic and reportedly, the two were clearing out some creative differences. The script was being reworked and the actor had already given his nod to the same. The movie was supposed to be helmed by ‘Lucknow Central’ director Ranjit Tiwari.
Even though Shahid had ok’ed the film, he was still sign the dotted lines. But turns out, the actor has been having his doubts about the same. According to Bollywood Bubble’s exclusive sources, Shahid asked for a whooping amount of Rs. 33 crores of the project. Which is far from what the makers can afford.
Not just this, the actor is now inclined towards doing more commercials projects after the success of ‘Kabir Singh’. Since Nikkhil’s film is based on a niche subject and might not do the numbers, Shahid has backed out of the project.
‘Kabir Singh’ has already crossed Rs. 275 crores at the Indian Box Office and approx. Rs. 366 crores at the Worldwide Box Office.
