Shahid Kapoor reacts to being tagged as a ‘chocolate boy’ during initial career days: I felt extremely bad

Shahid Kapoor is one of the most talented actors in Bollywood. Over the years, Shahid has given terrific performances in films like Ishq Vishk, Jersey, Kabir Singh, Haider, Udta Punjab, Kaminey, Fida and others. During the initial career days, Shahid was dubbed as a ‘chocolate boy’. Now, in a recent interview, Shahid has revealed that he ‘felt extremely bad’ about it.

Shahid reacts to ‘chocolate boy’ tag

Indian Express quoted him saying, “When I did Ishq Vishk, the word that was associated with me was ‘chocolate boy’. I felt extremely bad, I wondered what did that even mean, ye chocolate boy hota kya hai? I am an artiste, I want to express, I am not here only for visual gratification. Looking good, dressing well etc are just one layer, then you have to dig deep and I started doing just that. I completely changed myself, I didn’t want to be clean shaven and do the same thing. That became exciting for me.”

Shahid added, “My father told me, beta jis din acting karna shuru kar doge, sher ke muh me khoon lag jayega. You will derive the most happiness from that. Somewhere in the middle of my career, this happened with me. So now I just want that – even though I am vegetarian.”

Shahid in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya

The actor will be next seen in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. Shahid will be seen sharing screen space with Kriti Sanon in the film. The trailer gave us a glimpse of their stunning chemistry. Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya is slated to release on 9^th February.
