Shahid Kapoor REACTS to Pathaan success: Nobody better than Shah Rukh Khan sir to bring people back to theatres

Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan was released on 25^th January, 2023. The Siddharth Anand directorial which also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham is doing well at the box office. Shahid Kapoor, who will be seen in Raj & DK’s Farzi, has now reacted to Pathaan success.

Speaking with Pinkvilla, Shahid said, “I am so happy, so proud. Nobody better than Shah Rukh (Khan) sir to have this love and bring people back (to theatres) in the way that he has.”

Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika and John starrer Pathaan has been breaking records since the day of its release. It’s been two weeks Pathaan is going strong at the box office. The film has already collected over 800 crores worldwide. The film continues to do well.

Talking about Farzi, Shahid is playing the role of a con artist in the upcoming web show. Apart from Shahid, the Raj & DK directorial also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Kay Kay Menon and Raashii Khanna.

Farzi trailer was released last month and it received a positive response. Shahid, Kay Kay, Vijay and Raashii won hearts with their terrific performances in the trailer. Shahid had shared the trailer on his Instagram along with the caption, “Sab Farzi hai… par yeh trailer asli hai #SabFarziHai #Farzi #FarziOnPrime, Feb 10.”

On the other hand, Shahid was last seen in Gowtam Naidu Tinnanuri’s directorial Jersey. It also starred Pankaj Kapur and Mrunal Thakur. The film was released in April last year. However, it failed to work at the box office. Fans are now excited about his upcoming project i.e. Farzi.

For the uninitiated, Farzi marks Shahid’s OTT debut. The web show will be released tomorrow (10^th Feb) on Amazon Prime Video. Apart from this, Shahid also has Bloody Daddy in the pipeline.
