The new look of Shahid has left netizens wondering what he is coming up with next. Apart from an untitled project with Kriti Sanon, the actor has also signed up for a mythological epic.

Shahid Kapoor to play the most powerful character in the mythological epic?

As per a report by Pinkvilla, Shahid Kapoor is joining hands with Vashu Bhagnani and Jackky Bhagnani’s Pooja Entertainment. The upcoming film is based on a mythological epic. Reportedly, Shahid Kapoor will be seen as the most powerful character in the film, to be created based on the Hindu epic, Mahabharata. The upcoming mythological extravaganza is said to be loaded with VFX. Not only this, it will also be created on a big budget.

Reportedly, the filmmakers are planning to make the film into a visual spectacle and something that the audience has never seen before. As per the portal, Shahid Kapoor gears to shoot for the Mahabharata-inspired film in 2024.

The recently released film based on the Hindu epic was the Prabhas starrer Adipurush. The actor played the role of Lord Ram, whereas Kriti Sanon played the role of Sita, Sunny Singh played the role of Lakshman and Saif Ali Khan played the role of Ravan. Apart from this, Akshay Kumar played the role of Lord Shiva’s devotee in the recently released film OMG 2. Though the film is not an out-and-out mythological film, the actor was decked up in the get-up Lord Shiva. Ajay Devgn also played a mythological character in Thank God. Again, the movie was not a full-fledged mythological film, but Ajay’s get-up gave the vibes of the same.

Now, Madhu Mantena and Nitesh Tiwari are coming up with a mythological film named Ramayana. The upcoming film might have Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash in pivotal roles.
