Shahid Kapoor, whose recent outing ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ was panned by critics, will begin shooting for his upcoming film which is a remake of Telugu film ‘Arjun Reddy’. The film will be shot on real locations in Mumbai, according to a report by Mumbai Mirror.
The film also stars Kiara Advani, with whom Shahid had recently shot a music video titled ‘Urvashi’. Even though, Shahid will start shooting from Sunday, Kiara’s schedule will only start in November.
“The shoot is starting with the second half of the story and the opening scene will see Shahid biking with his friends. For another portion of the film, that will also be shot in the city, he will be training in football for some crucial sequences,” a source was quoted as saying by Mumbai Mirror.
The report also states that Shahid will be sporting four different looks in the film. For the first look, he has been growing his hair and beard.
The original ‘Arjun Reddy’ features Telugu actor Vijay Deverakonda. It is a story about a medical student who self-destructs himself after the love of his life marries someone else. The remake will be directed by the original director of the film, Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
We are definitely excited to see the film, and hope that it’s much better than Shahid’s ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’.
