Shahid Kapoor Padmavati scenes not changed

We all know that Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’ faced a lot of hurdles during the initial days of the shooting. However, later the same were resolved and the shooting of the film now, is going on smoothly.

Shahid Kapoor, who plays the role of Raja Rawal Ratan Singh in the film, was recently asked if there are changes made in the film after the whole controversy, to which the actor said, “According to me, I have not shot any scene which has been changed. I think there were a lot of presumptions about the film. People were presuming there are things in the film. The clarification was given that those things are not in the film. I hope when people see the film, they realise that the heart of the film and intent of the film is very good.”

“This country and the people who live in it, and specially the area we are talking about in the film, will be glorified and shown beautifully. I play a Rajput king and my character, I feel, will be admired and appreciated by people,” he added. (Also Read: ‘I am sad for the film not doing well,’ says Shahid Kapoor on failure of ‘Rangoon’)

After ‘Pamdavati’, Shahid has no films in his talking. Talking about it, he had said, “I have not signed anything after ‘Padmavati’ and it isn’t a thing to worry about. You should only worry when you are not doing a good film.”

‘Padmavati’ has Deepika Padukone playing the titular role, and Ranveer Singh will be seen as Sultan Alauddin Khilji. It is slated to release on November 17, 2017.

Few days ago, there were reports that Ranveer has asked Sanjay Leela Bhansali to cut down Shahid’s role in the film and credit the ‘Udta Punjab’ actor’s character as a special or a guest appearance. However, reportedly SLB has not agreed to Ranveer’s terms as he thinks it will be unfair to Shahid. We wonder if Ranveer is scared that Shahid might take the limelight away from him or these are just rumours floating around to discredit the film and actors’ hard work. Only time will tell the same, when we will get to see the movie in theatres.
